Winter Emergency Shelter

In late 2025, we purchased a building right off of the Morgan/Maumelle Exit that will serve as a winter emergency shelter each year!

With this new building, we will be able to shelter just around 160 individuals each night in extreme low temperatures and winter weather. This will allow us to continue our mission of keeping our neighbors out of the cold to help prevent the numerous amputations and deaths we see each winter season due to a lack of accessible emergency shelter options. In the Spring and Summer, we hope to use the space for farm stands, rummage sales, and events. 

Since our purchase, we have built restrooms and showers, installed the necessary fire suppressant systems, wired new electric, and set up our kitchen space. However, to finish and be ready, we still need to install a larger water line, double doors, and panic bars. Want to help us get ready for winter?
